With so many templates to choose from, the choice was simple

RemarkableUX is about how remarkable user experiences will be critical to the future success of ISVs building their business on software.

While I have some design experience, I am not a designer. Getting the blog up and running quickly is important so I decided to find a professional template to build on.

For my previous project paasTalk.com I used Brian Gardner’s Revolution theme. This time I wanted to do less custom coding, so was looking for something else.

I was familiar with Chris Pearson from his work on Copyblogger, and had been following his blog for a while.

To cut a short story even shorter, I have bought a developer licence for Chris Pearson’s Thesis theme.

Having looked at the supporting documentation and user forums, I think I made a good choice. I like the support that Chris is offering; he has developed a platform rather than just a theme.

For the moment I have the standard theme in production. I will make some minor styling changes as I go along to bring the look and feel into line with the ISVfocus.com house style.
